Bechtel- Carolina Beach Boardwalk

last sunday i got to meet up with wes, kristen, and airlie again. i always enjoy sessions with them! they pick the best locations ;) this time we went to the carolina beach boardwalk. it is a great place to shoot! lots and lots of bright colors! wonderful stuff! after the boardwalk we headed down to the beach.

Cole

saturday i got to do a session with the cole family! we met out at fort fisher... which is a beautiful location... minus the bugs! we certainly got eaten up quite a bit. but it was totally worth it for the pictures! mom had the idea of doing a collage of various parts of carver's body in black and white. it was really fun to shoot him with that in mind :)

up coming mini-sessions... fall and christmas dates released!

do you have a new baby? or just want to update the family pictures??? this is the perfect time because, here come the mini-sessions! a lot of people have asked me when the next day of mini-sessions is coming... so ask and you shall receive!
here are the fall mini-sessions and the christmas mini-sessions! book now ;) they will go fast!!

fall mini-sessions:
when: saturday october 16th 8:00am-9:30am AND 4:30-6:00pm; 30 minute sessions
where greenfield lake (last year we had some fall colors... that is pretty hard to come by in wilmington!!)
how much: $35 for the session then the option to purchase prints/ cd after (these will be the LAST SESSIONS at the current cd price!)
what: a 30 minute session to do anything fall!! use any kind of props you want... pumpkins, hay, leaves... it is all up to you! dress your kids in their costumes! just be aware of the 30 minute time limit.

christmas mini-sessions:
when: saturday november 13th 8:00am-9:30am AND 3:00-4:30pm(beach); 30 minute sessions
where: am: tba
pm: beach
how much: $50 for the session then the option to purchase prints/ cd after. the price will include ONE edited digital image from the session that can be emailed/ put on cd with rights to use it as you wish ie... christmas cards/ gifts.
what: a 30 minute session for christmas cards/ gifts! you can bring props, hats, candy canes... whatever says christmas to you!! just be aware of the 30 minute time limit.

asheville 101

2 weekends ago, my husband and i went to asheville for his sister's wedding (i was not the wedding photographer). while we were there we stayed with my sister and her family. we got to go to the biltmore... which was amazing!
the day of the wedding it POURED rain all day... until the minute we pulled up to the vineyard. the wedding was held at a beautiful vineyard on the TOP of a mountain. it made for beautiful pictures, but our van was not sure what to make of the incline! at the reception i got to grab a few of the details of the wedding :) it was fun practice for when i am ready to shoot my first wedding!!

top 10 things you can do with your photo cd...

10. order prints of your photos

9. send the pictures to family and friends via email

8. post the pictures on facebook, blogs, myspace...

7. create a collage of pictures from the session (they would all "match" since they were taken at the same place and the same outfits were worn)

6. put the pictures on a mug or coffee cup

5. create christmas ornaments with the pictures to give to family and friends

4. put the picture on a t-shirt, bag, or purse...

3. use the photo for chirstmas cards (chirstmas will be here before you know it!!!)

2. blow up the pictures and put them on a stretched canvas (they are big enough to be blown up about as big as you want)

the top thing you can do with your photo cd... 1. anything you want! you have the print release which includes the right to print them. you can't enter them into a contest... but you can do just about anything else! i am sure you can think of tons of other things to do with the pictures!

today is a very big day at our house!!

it was hana's first day of kindergarten!! my big girl went to big school for the first time!!

AND madeline turns 1!!
where has the time gone?? my baby is 1! ahhh! i still vividly remember the day she was born!!

it truly is a BIG DAY!

baby claire :)

one of my friends, jodi, just had her 3rd adorable daughter! so when she wanted me to take some newborn pictures i was thrilled! it gave me a chance to try out some of my newborn props :) yay! i love babies! i even got some of the older girls as well!!
